The Bread Shack receives many requests for donations and help with causes. While we would like to help all people at all times we have a limited capacity to assist and give.
Causes we tend to support are around the growth of the Lewiston-Auburn area through the arts and culture. Past support has gone to: L/A Arts, The Franco-American Heritage Center, Sebago Long Lake Concert series, and events with like-kind donations (product for program advertising).
Our leftover food goes to St. Mary’s Food Pantry and New Beginnings to assist families and people during difficult transitions.
Causes we feel best left to other organizations or systems, and areas where Dara gives personally, include personal medical situations, individual families in distress, and church or religious groups.If you feel your request is consistent with these values, please complete the following form. We make decisions for donations on a monthly basis. If we select your organization for a donation, which will be for product only (we do not send money), you will be contacted via email.
